Ontario regulations

The Ontario Government has announced its commitment to restructuring and building a new electricity system for Ontario between now and 2025. One initiative involves installing a smart meter in every household by 2010 in an effort to bring energy savings to Ontarians and promote responsible use of the province's energy resources. This initiative is one of many the government is undertaking to help residents of Ontario become active participants in developing a new energy infrastructure — a system that will reduce energy use, promote clean, green power solutions and accommodate future growth and energy demands in our province.
